Frequently asked questions.

What health insurance do you accept?

I am paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, United Healthcare, Aetna, Oxford, and Oscar Health. I am also part of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Virtual Network.

I use Headway to manage my billing and admin work so that I can place all of my focus on our work together. Headway manages everything related to payments and insurance to make things as easy as possible for you. To find out whether I accept your health insurance or how much your co-payment will be with your plan, set up an account with Headway by following the directions in my Headway profile:

What are your fees?

If I am not paneled with your health insurance provider or I am an out of network provider on your health insurance plan, my private pay rate is $200 per 1 hour appointment. If your insurance plan allows you to submit out of network claims for reimbursement, I can provide you with a superbill so that you can receive partial or full reimbursement for our sessions. I can help you check with your insurance provider about your plan’s out-of-network benefits to see if this is a good option for you.

Do you offer telehealth/telemedicine?

In addition to in-person therapy, I also provide telehealth therapy sessions as needed using a HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform. I am also certified with PSYPACT, meaning that I am licensed to provide teletherapy in 39 states. To see if I am a licensed provider in the state you reside, click here. In addition, if you plan to use your health insurance, please check with your health insurance company on whether I am an in-network provider on your plan. You can also check this by setting up an account with my admin and billing platform, Headway, which can verify your benefits.

How long does therapy for anxiety disorders typically last?

The number of sessions it takes to achieve therapy goals will vary widely across individuals, but a standard course of CBT for anxiety can take between 12 and 24 sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Individuals often begin to see symptom improvement within the first month of CBT and we start tapering sessions when therapy goals are in sight. Sometimes individuals want to have the option to continue therapy after completing a course of CBT, either to pursue another therapy goal or for ongoing support and maintenance of therapy gains. After your initial intake, we will discuss what a treatment plan for your individual concerns and therapy goals could look like.
